5:00pm Reception | 6:00pm Program
Robert J. Jones Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center | UROC
University of Minnesota faculty and advocacy leaders from the Twin Cities’ communities of color will lead a public discussion about the physical and mental toll on women, girls, and families of color surrounding executive decisions and recent actions by the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
Participants will be invited to share testimony, engage in small group conversations, and explore how University researchers can better partner with communities on the issues of immigration and deportation. An hors d'oeuvres reception will precede the program.
The event is free and open to the public.
UROC is located at 2001 Plymouth Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55411 | 612-626-8762.
